HEALTH

One who is stable and established in the self is healthy. That is to say that identifying a healthy person doesn’t only entail physical fitness, but what’s even more crucial is ones mental fitness. One cannot say that ‘I’m healthy, but not interested in life’. The enthusiasm in life shows how healthy you are.

Body, mind and spirit are like a tripod – even if one aspect isn’t functioning properly, our life will not be balanced and that will lead to ill health. Yoga (a component of ayurveda) is that link which creates a harmony by aligning all the three components (body, mind and spirit) into one. This harmony, in turn exists to support life.

Yoga is an integral part of our lifestyle. It removes the impurities from the level of mind and unites everything with the spirit. For instance, insomnia could be connected to stress, anxiety or depression. You have to address that issue instead of merely taking medication. This way, you have a wider perception of your own mind, body, thoughts and emotions and there’s more clarity and you are able to guide your prana (life force) in a positive way to progress in life.

Skills Enhancement:
Much has been written and spoken about the problem that is plaguing our ‘developing’ nation: the volume of educated, unskilled, unemployed youth losing faith in the significance of education. Every citizen, bureaucrat and politician is aware that the future of the country lies in creating a “skilled workforce” for the problem facing our country, which is not that of unemployment but of unemployability.

The Skills Enhancement Programme aims to equip the youth with theoretical knowledge, practical skills and a positive attitude to seek meaningful employment and take them towards self-sufficiency. Thus, the emphasis of the SEP is on enhancing the employability level through 4 segments:

ENVIRONMENT

Earth's natural resources include air, water, soil, minerals, fuels, plants and animals. Caring for these resources and using them limited is the nature's protection so that all living things can be benefited by them in the future. Nature, resources and environment are the basis of our life and existence.

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 2.6 billion people do not have enough water to drink in adequate quantities. Due to the use of polluted water for drinking, cooking or washing, more than 5 lakh people die every year. One-third of the Earth's population lives in those areas which are experiencing water stress. Most of these areas are suffering in developing countries.

Emphasizing the use of conservation and understanding of the environment, an efficient demand management policy can also increase the supply of these resources. An attempt to find alternatives to preserving resources through community management of such resources is essential. Community management can not be successful in the absence of proper property rights of different communities and suitable institutions.

Today, the need for community and ecological policies that engage in environmental protection and management involvement system.Earth's natural resources include air, water, soil, minerals, fuels, plants and animals.
